Now we have our shiny new website, we thought it was time to give our newsletter a spruce up. We hope you like the new look.

Please Refrain from Writing in Books

We've noticed quite a few books with people's initials or names marked in them. We ask that you please refrain from writing in library books. If you need to keep track of books you've read, our staff can assist you, or you can check your reading history online by logging into your account here or in the library app. Thank you for helping us maintain our library collection for everyone to enjoy!
We are Fine Free!
We are super excited to announce that we are now a fine free library! Books and all other library items no longer accrue overdue fines.

QLDC Libraries have moved to a permanent fine-free model to reduce barriers to library services. No late fines will accrue on any borrowed items and all existing fines have been forgiven. This does not apply to other library fees.

The new fine-free policy means items will no longer accrue late fees, however, patrons should continue to be mindful of due dates. Emails will continue to be sent to remind borrowers to renew or return overdue items to ensure the collections are available to all. Fees will continue to be applied in the event an item is damaged or lost, helping to maintain responsible borrowing while making Library resources as accessible as possible to everyone.

Happy Birthday to...

We celebrated Kā Muriwai | Arrowtown Library building's 40th birthday last week. We had visits from past Arrowtown Librarians; and the library's architect and builder popped by to say hi! The library has a longstanding history in the Arrowtown community, and it was lovely hearing everybody's stories.

Thank you to the Arrowtown community for their continued support of our treasured wee library.
