It doesn’t matter whether your reo skills stop at kia ora, or you can whaikōrero on the marae with the best of them, Mahuru Māori is something we can all do.
 
So jump on the waka e hoa mā, and let’s give Mahuru Māori our best shot.

1,000 Books Before School

November marks two years since the launch of our 1,000 Books Before School programme and we'll be celebrating this milestone with a Special Anniversary Storytime for everybody. We'll also celebrate kā tamariki who have finished 1,000 Books with a mini graduation ceremony.
 
We'll be in touch closer to the date with more information about the planned celebrations. If you're participating in the programme, there's still time to reach 1,000 Books and graduate this November - you can do it!

Develop a money mindset & improve financial literacy during our Cashflow Boardgame Session @ Queenstown Library, led by Joel Hillary on Saturday 14 September.
We’re excited to present the first session of our Silver Science series, an interactive workshop designed especially for seniors, in collaboration with Otago Museum. Join us in the Humboldt Room at The Headwaters Eco Lodge, Glenorchy for A Night Under the Stars with StarLab on Wednesday 18 September.
Join us on Monday 23 September at Frankton Library for a gentle morning with our rescued cats in our Whiskers & Wisdom Dementia Friendly Session. This is a new programme that runs every third Monday of the month.

Digital Help Appointments are always available by appointment in Queenstown.

It's spring and that means it's time for some spring tree planting days!
Whakatipu Reforestation Trust have several planting days coming up in September. All planting days are drop-in style between 9am – 12 noon. There are sessions on:
  • Saturday, 7th September – Whitechapel Reserve
  • Saturday, 14th September – Lake Hayes Pavilion
  • Saturday, 21st September – Slope Hill Recreation Reserve
  • Thursday, 26th September – Jardine Park Welcome Forest: Visitor Industry Planting Day.
