Silver Science Series

September kicked off the Silver Science series in Glenorchy with a fantastic first session, spending a rainy evening under the stars in a portable planetarium. We explored constellations right in our own backyard - safe to say we stayed dry! It was fascinating to learn about Leo Labs and, on a more sobering note, the sheer amount of space junk orbiting our planet. A huge thank you to Katie and Jake from the museum for delivering such an informative session!

Big thanks to Tūhura Otago Museum, The Headwaters Eco Lodge and Glenorchy Dark Skies Group - this event wouldn’t have been possible without your expertise, collaboration, and support!
