Library Noticeboard

New water cooler at Frankton Library
We're excited to introduce our new water cooler! To help reduce waste, please bring your own resuable water bottles, as we are going cup-free.
We offer a free Home Delivery Service at Frankton, Hāwea, Queenstown and Wānaka libraries as an option for patrons who are unable to come to the library, for reasons such as mobility, transport or health issues. Order a home delivery via our website.
A reminder that we welcome all children to our libraries and to participate in our programmes, but please make sure that children under 14 are accompanied by a caregiver. We accept no responsibility for unaccompanied children.

A selection of spine label stickers denoting genres of fiction
Love a particular genre of fiction? Make in-branch browsing easy with our spine labels!
Have you noticed that we shelve our fiction differently across the district?
In some libraries, we shelve genres like Fantasy or Short Stories together. In other branches, all fiction genres live side by side.
To make browsing in all our branches easier for you, why not go by the spine sticker label? If you love Romance, for example, you might want to look for the red heart, or if you're after a Historical novel, find the castle!
You may even discover new favourite authors by browsing in this way!

QLDC Libraries merchandise available now
We have keychains, lanyards and new tote bags for sale. All proceeds support library programmes and services.
Available in our library branches only (not online). Please ask at the desk. Limited edition while stocks last.

If you're registering to take part in our 1,000 Books Before School or 1,000 Books At School programmes, you'll receive a special gift! For those of you who have registered previously, pop into one of our branches to claim yours.

Ka pai to our 2025 Bookmark Contest winners!
